“The best executive is one who has sense enough to pick good people to do what he wants done and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.” — Theodore Roosevelt
Tuesday, July 12th SSC MA division was buzzing with excitement in anticipation for the ice cream truck visit! Being an open family event several employees invited significant others to celebrate together and enjoy the event and eating as much ice cream as you wanted. All the employees had a great time and understood that Employee Appreciation Day is not something you see often and especially in today’s economy. Norm & Tina are one of a kind and understand a successful company has everything to do with the talent and dedication of their employees. Every time the company does well the employees are rewarded and the ownership lets them know how much they are appreciated.
Employees will go the extra mile if they feel appreciated. Get to know who works for you and have a real conversation with them to learn about them as people. Enjoy moments with your employees and they will appreciate you as well. – Tina Malley, Vice President of Springfield Spring Corporation
“I have always believed that the way you treat your employees is the way they will treat your customers, and that people flourish when they are praised.” — Sir Richard Branson
On Wednesday July 13th, 2016 the Springfield Spring CT division was just as excited for their ice cream truck visit and converged between the 24 & 34 Dell Manor Drive plants. Being the same open event, families and co-workers mingled as children and parents had the pick of their favorite ice cream. From Four slide operators to Toolmakers to Customer Service to Managers the beautiful summer day felt extra enjoyable as the ice cream truck operator tried to keep up with the demand. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and can’t wait until the next time!
“A group of people get together and exist as an institution we call a company so they are able to accomplish something collectively that they could not accomplish separately — they make a contribution to society, a phrase which sounds trite but is fundamental.” — David Packard
“Employee appreciation is not something to celebrate on one day or on one occasion. We strongly feel that practicing and building a culture where employees feel appreciated and understand their role in the company’s success is the catalyst for growth and prosperity. Great people make great companies – never the other way around.” The ownership of Springfield Spring appreciates the commitment, dedication and contribution that all of our employees offer to our team and to our customers.”- Norman Rodriques, President, Springfield Spring Corporation.
